Why is Aggies different to other aquariums?
What sets Aggies apart from many others is our ethical standards and the belief that information on this great hobby should be shared openly. To this end we:

• Provide information to our customers on what will work and what will not. We do not believe in selling you things you don't need simply to make a few extra dollars.

• Don't sell tropical species as "coldwater" species. If the fish require a heater, we'll tell you. Sadly, the promotion of certain tropical species as "coldwater" species to aquarists without heated tanks is quite common in the aquarium industry and while some "tropical" species will survive in coldwater in the short term their long term health is undoubtedly affected.

• We don't knowingly sell any hybrid cichlids. The cichlid hobby has profound concerns about the proliferation of cichlid hybrids and their impact on the conservation of this group both in the hobby and in the wild.

• We DO NOT stock fish that have been "dyed" via injection with a hypodermic needle (ie: Painted glassfish, coloured corys etc).
